Meanwhile Dr.Maulana Maulana is in the news for predicting and stating that the re-election of John Dramani Mahama as President of Ghana is being hailed as a fulfillment of prophecy by Dr. Maulana Maulana, Founder of Ministry of the Future, a pioneering advocate for Ghanaian Citizenship for the African Diaspora.
According to Dr Maulana, African ancestors have brought Mahama back to power to facilitate the repatriation of Africans in the diaspora back to Africa, with Ghana being the first destination.
He also extended warm congratulations to President-Elect H.E. John Dramani Mahama on his landslide victory.
“The re-election of President John Dramani Mahama is a clear manifestation of the divine plan unfolding in Ghana. We believe that his return to power is a fulfillment of prophecy, and we are excited to see how he will use his second term to advance the cause of Ghana and the African diaspora,” he said.
Background history of Dr.Maulana and the Citizenship journey
Dr.Maulana the founder of Ministry of the future ,the NGO who submitted over 252 citizenship application on behalf of the diasporans assured the remaining 126 applicants who couldn’t receive their certificate in 2019 that he was going to work hard for the Government to fulfill his promise,so he started working towards it since 2019 December but there was no proper response so on march 2021 Ministry of the future organized a program at paloma hotel which had three great international legal practitioners as guest speakers and one of speakers made a submission on how the issue will be addressed and he used the legal terminology ” Legitimate expectation” so they advised Dr.Maulana and his team to consult a legal team to deal with the government on their behalf.
Fast forward, Ministry of the future hired the service of one of the guest speakers at the event, Lawyer Charles Owusu Juanah Esq of K-san law firm and he started engaging with the office of the president ( Diaspora affairs) on behalf of Ministry of the future,
So on 14th April 2021 the government issued an official letter to the law firm addressing and explaining the whole process and assured all applicants to be positive because they will surely received their certificate soon.
It’s been a long journey coming and Ministry of the future having been committed to bring added value to mother Ghana and the Africans of the diaspora who have desires and love for Ghana and wants to become citizens .
Ministry of the future has had a long journey going back with other African diasporans assisting as early as the 1990’s on this very subject and they are very glad Government has now taken them so serious.
*Also as part of the governments efforts to maintain the future relationship with the African descendents of the trans Atlantic slave trade and also to help Ghana develop and add value to Ghana’s economy, the Government has now develop a legal process to help Africans of the diasporan to become Ghana citizen under a new law Called ” *Ghana homeland Return Act* ” so ministry of the future will be doing all within their ability to work closely with Government to help other Africans of the diasporan who are desires to get Ghana citizenship to help with the investment of added value to Ghana’s economy by encouraging them to apply for Ghanaian citizenship under this particular law.
